Keith Robertson's paintings and pottery is accompanied by paintings by Kirsteen Mullay. Their glorious work fills the walls and cabinets. They compliment each other perfectly since both use the sea, and all that entails, for their inspiration.
Keith Robertson says:
I spent my childhood in Burra Isle, the early years before the bridge came. We were surrounded by nature and I spent many hours drawing and painting. I served my apprenticeship as a joiner/carpenter and have been working in Aquaculture for some years - first in salmon then mussels.
I now live in Voe, Delting.
After doing some pottery evening classes I enjoyed it so much I got my own equipment and started making, mainly hand building.
I have always enjoyed making things and drawing and painting. I prefer to work in oils.
More will follow on Kirsteen Mullay soon
