David Godfrey-Faussett (Watercolours) & Jackie True (Crochet)

You could not get two more different exhibitions in one room, but it works. David's ethereal and atmospheric paintings, entitled 'Images of Shetland and Beyond', adorn the walls whilst Jackie's cute and colourful crochet fills the cabinets. A must see!

David studied art at Wales and throughout the south-west of England, obtaining membership of Exmoor Arts, and exhibiting at the Burton Gallery in Devon.  He and his wife moved to the South of France, to the Western Isle of Scotland and now to Yell,  the second most northerly isle in the UK.
His paintings here take a more serious note of the dramatic landscapes and seascapes of Shetlands geography.

Jackie, on contrast, takes on the task of representing Shetlands wildlife, and cultural heritage in the form of Crochet.  Her jovial pieces from Tammy Nories (Puffins) to Vikings in their longboats, encompasses much of what is great about Shetland.

This exhibition will run until the 2nd of July, and many of the display items are for sale.  So please visit early to avoid disappointment.
