Wool Week Exhibition

Wool week exhibition which runs from 10th September to 30th September

The final exhibition of the season at the Old Haa in Burravoe is centred on ‘Wool Week’. There is an amazing collection of items on display relating to all things ‘Wool’. There are jumpers from the 60’s in jolly oranges and yellows, lots of traditional Fair Isles garments in  natural colours and others demonstrating the use of metallic yarn and silk thread, lace shawls and scarves, crocheted sheep, artwork relating to Wool, sheepskins and lots more.  The Old Haa Arts Group are grateful to all those who contributed towards the exhibition. It truly is worth a visit and you’ll be made very welcome.

There will also be a drop in day on Tuesday 25th September from 10-4 where there will be demonstrations of knitting, both Fair Isle and lace, and spinning by local craftspeople.  Why not pop along to see the exhibition which runs until 30th September.  The Old Haa is open Monday to Thursday 10-4pm, Saturday 10-4pm and Sunday 2-5pm.
